Democracy Without Media Literacy

Welcome to my page, My name is Kevin Huels. I'm starting a blog about the idea and information in the public discourse in today's society. I study Media Literacy at Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri, and I hope to raise questions about the current system in which we live in and how our information is being presentended to us. I focus heavily within media research and writing, and how certain groups get more coverage than others in the media. I'm an advocate of the Anti-Defamation League and believe strongly in news media that is educationally informative, and cutting out the bias. I believe strongly in the support of equal coverage for all groups in the nation without cencorship of ideas. Documents like the patriot act, and privacy infringements are completely intolerable. On the other hand I urge viewers to comment on their opinions of media literacy, cencorship, and public discourse. DEMOCRACY IS NEVER POSSIBLE IF ITS PEOPLE ARE NOT PROPERLY INFORMED.
